The owners of Ecco Suites (formerly known as Crestwood Suites) in Lakeland came to Straughn Trout Architects to completely gut, renovate, and expand their lobby space to rebrand their business and keep their hotel competitive within the hotel market. The existing lobby space had no accommodations for the large volume of guests hosted at the continental breakfast. The overall appearance also lacked a design style that would heighten guest experiences and make their visit memorable. In response, we proposed an addition to the lobby space for a new linear breakfast bar and dining room. The breakfast bar was designed with flexibility and expansion in mind to allow a variety of foods to be served with little to no modifications. A formal, superficial staircase was replaced with a monumental mantel and seating area to greets guests as they enter and provides an area to lounge and relax.
In addition to standard architectural services, 3-D visualization and perspective renderings of the renovations were performed throughout the design process to aid in delivering a stunning change to the hotel and enhance the first impression of their guests. STA’s Interior Design services also included furniture, materials, and fixture selection in order to complement the rebranding efforts and new grand architectural features.
