The design of the new sanctuary was planned according to the needs of a progressive Pentecostal church. Spacious aisles for prayer, expanded alters for individual ministry and wide seating for passionate worship. Balconies were eliminated to create a very intimate section arrangement bringing every member closer to the platform. The platform will combine the open architecture of most church buildings with the more versatile “black box” design of modern theaters. This convergence of ideas will make worship more accessible for today’s trends and transitional for tomorrow’s changes.Entry into the new sanctuary is experience through a massive foyer with gathering spaces and exterior promenades for conversation an reflection. Glass is abundant in the design allowing natural light to influence the interior environment. This point of entry finds nearly equal parking to its north and south causing equitable access regardless of which side a member or visitor chooses to park. Parents with children will be given designated parking to the east side for easy access to the adjacent children’s facility. This will allow kids to be dropped off before parents enter the sanctuary foyer space.
